PROGRAM STATEMENT:
This program is designed to provide General Liability insurance to
the small to medium Artisan Contractor. Licensing is necessary if a
license is required by the State.
Remodelers are allowed to do room additions.
It is NOT intended for any contractor that does work on
residential town home, condominium or planned unit developments before the
project is completed & certified for occupancy.
Subcontractors who do work on completed & certified projects must
declare the project and it will be endorsed onto the policy for coverage at
the company's option.
The Named Insured must be present at and actively supervise all
worksites
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:
1 Artisan Contractors for Class Codes Listed ONLY.
2 $1,000,000 maximum GROSS RECEIPTS including material cost, EXCLUDING
cost of land.
3 $15,000 maximum annual premium.
4 Less than 70% of receipts in sub-out costs.
5 Subcontractors must provide certificates, hold harmless our insured
& name our insured as "additional insured."
6 $1250 & $1450 minimum premium depending on limits. Charges for
Additional coverages are in ADDITION to the minimum premium.
7 Three years experience in same line of work. – must provide resume
showing experience
8 Maximum of 2 losses in the past FIVE years – ANY LOSSES – MUST BE
REFERRED T O COMPANY FOR APPROVAL
9 Min Per Claim Deductible IS $1500.
10 All debits or credits, refer to company.
11 The Class Code 95625 Handyman - is only for true Handyman Operations,
unlicensed contractors whose average job costs are under $500, have NO
employees and do not sub out any work.
14 The Class Code 98666 - Remodeling/TI&B work - is only for B Class
contractors who do Residential
Remodeling (Including room additions) OR 98777 - for Commercial Tenants
Improvements & Betterments.
15 For all other policies, the rate will reflect the HIGHEST RATED class
code.
16 Company Application MUST BE COMPLETED AND SIGNED by the broker &
insured.
17 10% of pure premium is to be added to all accounts in addition to all
other charges: Per the Subscription Agreement, which is required before
binding is allowed.
18 Accounts THAT are either not classified herein or are shown as
ineligible below will be DECLINED.
1 9 General Contractors - who build entire structures. If building
residential structures (1 family ONLY), no more that TWO (2) homes are
allowed including uncompleted homes from a prior year)
INELIGIBLE:
1 Sales, service, installation or repair for alarms, automatic fire
extinguishing systems, boilers, escalators, elevators, wood or coal burning
stoves.
2 Asbestos, mold or lead (installation) or abatement, or tree removal.
3 Chemical sales or application EXCEPT incidental pursuant to class.
4 Those who perform work for petroleum or chemical facilities.
5 Risks that perform demolition of structures, blasting, excavation
below 6 feet, or tunneling.
6 Developers--this program is NOT FOR developer/contractors who build
entire RESIDENTIAL structures, develop properties OR perform ANY new
residential construction.
7 Applicants with poor financial history or bankruptcy or less than 3
years experience.
8 Unlicensed contractors who are required by State Law to be licensed.
9 Exterior work of any kind above 3 stories.
10 EIFS (Synthetic Stucco) work.
11 Risks that have other businesses or activities which are not
classified under this program.
12 No per location or per job aggregates.
1 3 Any risk with more than 70% subcontracted work or more than 20% work
for utility companies.
14 No Concrete Foundation work
15 No framing of Structures
THERE IS NO BINDING AUTHORITY EXTENDED TO ANY BROKER. COVERAGE
IS ONLY BOUND UPON
COMPLETION OF ALL REQUIREMENTS AND ISSUANCE OF A BINDER BY THE
COMPANY.
